Paul Quinn

A little bit about me. I studied Music Technology at University, and now I work as a Police Officer for Kent Police. I have a serious and dedicated passion towards fitness, and in 2015 I qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer, and I also now hold a Level 1 CrossFit coach qualification.

I discovered CrossFit in 2015 and I absolutely love it! I truly believe there is no better style of training that best prepares you for anything that life can throw at you. It’s fun, constantly varied and adaptable to all individuals at any fitness level. Being physically fit is part of my role at work and I know that CrossFit is, without a doubt, the best way to achieve this. Since joining Crossfit Great Stour I have taken part in competitions; winning 1st place at one event as part of a team with other members. The sense of community and team that is CFGS is second to none. I want to help members create sustainable lifestyle changes using CrossFit as a tool to become strong and resilient individuals whilst having fun!

There’s nothing better than taking my functional fitness earned from CrossFit, outside of the box and put to the test in nature. Recently, I completed the West Highland Way; a 100 mile trek across the highlands of Scotland, camping in the wild and carrying all of my kit! I have also done the three peaks challenge for charity. Completing both of these challenging events I attribute to my fitness achieved through Crossfit. My other keen interest is martial arts, I currently participate in Brazilian Jujitsu and have found the carryover of strength and conditioning skills from the box a contributing factor in my developing skills in this area.
