All classes are totally scalable so if you, your mum and your Grandad came you would all do the same class but it would be scaled so that it met each individuals personal level of fitness or ability.
CrossFit is great if you do other sports too; Running, Swimming, Boxing, Rugby and MMA to name a few. Using runners as an example, because running is a linear, repetitive movement that involves mostly your legs, it can cause an imbalance in the rest of the body, which can lead to injury now or down the road. Solely running also leads to workout plateaus, so when the muscles become used to the demands placed on them, a runner needs to run further or faster in order to maintain his or her level of fitness.
CrossFit exercises involve your whole body rather than isolated muscle groups, which strengthens you from head to toe and makes you a better runner. CrossFit benefits fast-twitch muscles used for sprinting and slow-twitch muscles used for endurance running. Working your entire body will also help you lose overall body fat, which will lead to increased endurance and speed and will also help you maintain correct form during runs reducing the risk of injury.
